Beautiful Porch Upgrade in Urichsville, Oh

“We couldn’t be more thrilled with the stone work you completed on our house. We appreciated how professional you were from setting up our estimate to the completion. When the job was done your company cleaned everything up and we appreciated that. Looking forward to doing more business with you on our rental properties” – Mr. and Mrs. Henry

Have we mentioned we love what we do? Because it is a thrill every day to help homeowners transform their homes into something they’ve been dreaming about.  What we have found is that the dream is usually more attainable than they think, and we definitely try to work with our customers to find a reasonable solution that fits their budget.

When we met Mr. and Mrs. Henry they had a desire to dress us their porch and give it more detail.  This stone is the perfect solution.

New Cedar Impression Shakes and Vinyl Siding in Mogadore, Ohio

We have had the pleasure of working with Bob through out the last year to improve the look of his home.  He first called us because he was looking for new exterior options for his home.  He had a Tudor style exterior and wanted to update the look to make it more modern and fresh.  We went over all our options and came up with a vinyl siding and shake combination.  Heartland Siding makes both the siding and the Cedar Impressions Shakes, which give us perfect color matching options.

Here’s Bob’s house before we completed any work on it:

Exterior Remodel in Dover, Ohio

We had the pleasure of working with a lovely couple, Rod & Sue Rothacher, from Dover, Ohio earlier this year.  We just recently received their review in the mail, and they are ecstatic.  In their words:

We are so impressed by the quality of the work and how helpful our contractor (Ken Troyer) was. He was prompt and was available to answer all questions. He dropped off samples for our opinion before we made decisions. We could not be more satisfied. The crew was always right on time and when they finished they cleaned up. They also took great care not to ruin our flowers around the house.

It is our goal to make every customer feel like they are a priority.  We go out with the intention of giving every person the best roof and siding workmanship we possibly can.  Here are a few pictures of the project after its completion.

How to Choose the Right Contractor

Choosing the right contractor can be intimidating, especially if you are not given a reference or know someone personally.  We’ve all heard stories of home projects gone bad, where the contractor didn’t follow through on their word.  In fact, we have many stories of our clients where we able to come in and rectify a bad situation due to the previous contractor.

Here are a few tips to help you pick the right contractor:

  1. Compare Apples to Apples

There is often a lack of consistency in estimates, that’s hard to identify, when comparing contractor to contractor.  Make sure that you request the same work from each contractor.  On the flip side, ask each contract to describe what they may do differently from their competitor.

  1. Callback Turnaround

Responsiveness is key.  If this contractor doesn’t call you back within 48 hours they may be unreliable.  You need someone who is available for you, and keeps you in the communication loop.

  1. What Will Your Project Look Like?

Ask them how a typical project is ran? How big is the crew, what time do they show up, how long will it take them?  This will give you a good idea of how smoothly your project will go.

  1. What Do They Do Best

Find out what each contractor specializes in.  Residential, commercial, kitchen renovations, new construction… There are many different facets to construction.  You can also ask to see pictures of their past projects.  If they say they’re a roofer, but don’t have a lot of roofing projects to show you, there may be a problem.

  1. Check Them Out

Here are a few places/things to check:

-If they are registered with your city, check to see if there are any complaints filed against them?

-Do they carry the appropriate insurance?

-Do they have any references to show you, or refer you to?

-How long have they been in business?

Each of these items can be applied to any area of contracting, and should be looked at across the board.  So having said all that, here’s a little more about us!

Kline Home Exteriors has been in business since 2009.  We are a full service Home Exterior company, specializing in roofing, siding, gutters, windows, doors, and decks.  We have Amish crews, that will come out and use their experience craftsmanship to complete your job quickly and effectively.  We typically finish roofs in less than a day.  We are fully licensed and insured, and we are registered with a number of cities through out Ohio.  Our main office is in Holmes County, Ohio, right in the heart of Amish Country.  We do travel up to 100 miles to complete jobs for customers, and we give out free estimates.  We pride ourselves on being detailed and going the extra mile for our customer.  We want to ensure the quality of our craftsmanship lasts for years to come.

We have had a lot of storms move through Ohio lately, and you may be wondering… do I have storm damage? Kline is adept at helping customers identify when their home has been damaged, and walking homeowners through the insurance process. Here are some key signs your house may be damaged.

1. Hail Damage:  Look for dents or cracks on your windows, siding, screens, and doors.  If we come to inspect your home we will climb on your roof to identify hail strikes and bruises.

2.  Wind Damage:  Look for blown off shingles.  You may not be able to climb up to you roof, but there may also be some shingles creased by wind damage.

We use only the highest quality products available, and our shingles are rated for up to 130 mph.  Trust us to come out and inspect your home, walk you through the process, and repair everything so it’s more protected than ever.
